The two big winners at the Skytrax World Airlines Awards were Singapore Airlines
who walked away with 'Airline of the Year' & 'Best Business Class' and
Easyjet who took the 'Best Low-cost Airline'.
The yearly awards event is based on over 15 million passengers over an 11 month
period.
Skytrax chief executive Edward Plaisted also praised Easyjet and said that just
because an airline is classed as a low-cost carrier they don't have to give a
lower class service.
"EasyJet is clear testament that low-cost operations can be delivered with
a good standard of customer care and passenger service quality - with their
level of customer loyalty clearly demonstrating a winning formula," he
said.
Other big winners were Emirates who won 'Best inflight Entertainment and Asiana
Airlines also did well taking the 'Best Cabin Staff' and 'Best Economy Class
