In a new research by Travel Weekly magazine, it is reported that over 5 million
holidaymakers will book their Summer 2009 holiday before the end of December.
That is 10% of the total number of passengers wishing to get away to some
sunshine departing from the UK.
It is widely believed across the travel industry that by doing this travellers
will secure the best deals with early booking discounts and free child places.
With the current economy in the UK, talk of recession and the continued high oil
prices, the tour operators are drastically reducing their capacity for next
year.
Holidaymakers next year looking for last minute 'cheap' deals could be in for a
shock.
